Princess Cruises to Build Two Next-Generation LNG Cruise Ships

Princess Cruises have announced today it’s plans to build two next-generation LNG cruise ships with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri S.p.A. The two ships will be 175,000 gross tonnes and accommodate approximately 4,300 guests (lower berths), the largest by capacity in the fleet. Delivery is expected in late 2023 and spring 2025 and will be built at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy.

Princess Cruises currently has three new Royal-class ships on order with Fincantieri.  Sky Princess is currently under construction and scheduled for delivery in October 2019, with two more Royal-class ships planned for delivery in 2020 and 2022.
